Since patriarchy is back again with its devious morals, we’ve decided to stand our ground and celebrate every shade of love this Valentine’s Day. And who embodies love better than Elton John himself? That’s how our new cake idea was born!
We had high hopes that 2025 would be better than 2024, but we were all deceived. While some seem determined to burn the world to the ground, we Sound Eaters refuse to be trapped in that spiral of doom and hate. Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to celebrate what truly matters—beyond politics and economics: LOVE.
Why celebrate Elton John for Valentine’s Day?
Honestly, we weren’t really in the mood for love this year, and we had no clue which artist to celebrate for Valentine’s Day. That was… until we found ourselves humming Your Song for three days straight.
Sir Elton John turned out to be the perfect choice for this kind of celebration. After all, since the ’70s, this musical genius has been a symbol of love and resilience.
We’re just as smitten with Your Song, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, and I’m Still Standing as we were the first time our ears were blessed with them. And we can’t wait for his new record, Who Believes In Angels, to come out in April!
Beyond his outstanding contributions to pop and rock music, Elton John has also been a major advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights worldwide. He perfectly embodies our need to stand against patriarchy and celebrate love in all its colors—don’t you think?
Plus, no one can deny Elton John is iconic. And we, Sound Eaters, are on a mission to celebrate the artists who move us to the core.
Baking a cake for the iconic Sir E. John
As the world is slowly turning grey, we felt everyone could use a burst of color in their lives. That’s why we decided to pack as many vibrant hues as possible into our new cake. And let’s be honest—Elton John has always been one of the most playful and colorful icons we know!
We transformed our favorite stage costume into a treat: the infamous rainbow feather ensemble.
We baked a delightfully fluffy vanilla sponge cake, layered it with sweet and sultry rose buttercream, and decorated it with beautiful white chocolate feathers.
Of course, we didn’t forget the essential touch—the iconic glasses, to add a sprinkle of glitter and joy to our lives. The result is beyond our wildest dreams.
We hope this beautiful cake fills your heart with happiness and love, reminding you that better days will come—days where acceptance and kindness prevail.
