Baking a Pavlova for Amyl & The Sniffers
Every december, for Xmas, Amy Taylor organizes a Pavlova contest with her friends and family. Did we know about this? Absolutely not. Yet the image of a pavlova immediately came to our minds when we looked at the artwork, wondering what cake we could do. At this point we call it destiny.
Our new punk treat is a delicious deluge of crunchy meringue, exquisite lemon curd, suave vanilla cream and fresh blueberries, raspberries and nectarine. In a word: the best pavlova you’ll ever taste. Isn’t it the craziest, funniest, goofiest, yummiest cake ever baked?
Bringing a Pavlova to Amyl & The Sniffers
Minutes after we posted our new cake creation on Instagram, we had the immense surprise of getting a mysterious message in our DM Box. It was Amy Taylor herself and she loved the cake! We chatted a bit and offered to bake a new one for the band. Amy gracefully accepted and we had the immense pleasure to bring our Comfort To Me Pavlova to Amyl and the Sniffers. The cherry on top of the cake? It was Declan’s birthday (he’s the band’s guitar player). It was one of these fabulous moments we’ll never forget. Loved, loved, loved every minute of it!
